Elementary Teacher GREEN Easy Tab Water Quality Monitoring Workshop & Benthic Review-Returning Teachers
Saturday, September 20th, 2008 Time: 1:00pm-4:00pm
Location: Environmental Interpretive Center, University of Michigan-Dearborn, 4901 Evergreen Road, Dearborn, MI 48128
Registration: $10.00 per teacher for returning teachers
All elementary teachers are invited to learn how to use the GREEN easy tab low cost water monitoring kit to replace or partially replace using the LaMotte or Hach chemical testing kits. These kits are compact, simple, and easy to transport with no liquid chemicals to worry about! Just drop the tab in the river water and watch the reaction happen. If you’re interested in making the switch please attend this workshop.
For those teachers who need a little help with their “bug” identification we will be having a review of the benthic macroinvertebrates commonly found in the Rouge River watershed along with samples to look at under the microscope. A great way to get refreshed before Fall Monitoring Day!
****If you attend this workshop you do NOT have to attend the April 4th Water Quality Monitoring Workshop*****
