Volunteer Opportunities (including Rouge Rescue)

The Public Involvement Programs offer a unique opportunity for people to get to know the Rouge River Watershed and join the effort to improve the quality of this valuable resource.

Join the effort to track the health of the river by becoming a volunteer monitor and listening for frogs and toads or sampling for streambed creatures.

Become a steward of the section of the river that flows through your neighborhood. Even the smallest action, from not over-fertilizing your lawn to organizing neighbors to clean up a section of the river, helps make the river a better place to live, work, and play.

We offer opportunities for local citizens, concerned groupos, scout groups, local businesses, students, and numerous agencies.
