Frog and Toad Survey Events

 

GROUP LISTENS

Friends of the Rouge will hold two group listens during the frog and toad breeding season. Group listens are designed to give survey volunteers an opportunity to test their listening skills in an area where they are sure to hear a few species calling. A schedule is listed below however these may be cancelled due to weather conditions. If you plan to attend please call ahead to check the status of the event. If you provide your email address we will keep you informed of all details regarding the Frog & Toad Survey and group listens.

April 3, 2008— Meet at the Southeast Michigan Land Conservancy’s LeFurge Woods Preserve at 7:30 P.M. Directions: Preserve is located on the east side of Prospect between Vreeland and Geddes Roads.

April 18, 2008—Meet at the West Bloomfield Woods Nature Preserve at 7:30P.M. We will be joining the Detroit Audubon Society for this event. Directions: The preserve is located at 4655 Arrowhead Rd. in West Bloomfield, south of Pontiac Trail between Orchard Lake and Halsted Roads. Parking is limited.
